GUEST WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

The cats at Cat People are living animals with unpredictable behavior. By entering the facility, I voluntarily accept the risks associated with interacting with cats, including but not limited to:

  • Scratches, bites, or other physical contact with cats

  • Allergic reactions to cats, dander, or cleaning products used in the facility

  • Slipping, tripping, or other accidents within the facility

  • Transmission of illness, including zoonotic conditions (e.g., ringworm)

2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to enter and participate in activities at Cat People, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, and legal representatives, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Cat People, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from my visit, including those caused by the negligence of Cat People, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cat People, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of my conduct during my visit or my violation of any facility rules.

4. HEALTH ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I confirm that I am in suitable health to participate in activities at Cat People. I understand that Cat People will not be responsible for any injury, illness, or medical expenses as a result of my visit and that I am responsible for my own medical expenses in the event of injury or illness during my visit.

5. FACILITY RULES AND GUEST CONDUCT

I agree to follow all posted facility rules and staff instructions, including:

  • Handle cats gently and respect their boundaries. Do not chase, startle, or force interaction with any cat.

  • Do not bring outside animals into the facility.

  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by one adult for every two children. Children 14 and under must have at least one adult in their group. For example, a group of four 8-year-olds would need two adults, and a group of four 13-year-olds would need one adult present.

  • Follow staff direction immediately regarding health and safety of the cats.

6. INCIDENT REPORTING

I agree to report any injury, scratch, bite, or health concern to Cat People staff immediately. I understand that in the event of a bite or scratch that breaks the skin, my name and contact information may be provided to local health authorities as required by Colorado law.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
